Custom Wigs VS U-part Wigs

Custom wigs are very popular right now. Perhaps more popular than they ever have been. The only issue is that a lot people are not ready for wigs, not everyone at least. They tend to believe that wigs still look unnatural and store-bought. Wigs are so natural looking it’s unbelievable. The lace is more realistic than ever, ultra thin, transparent, and the knots are almost undetectable. That is what a good wig looks like. The great thing about wigs is that they offer optimum protection for your hair. They’re great for working out while keeping a flawless hair style. Reason being, glueless wigs are easily removed and put back on at your convenience. They are a great option for a woman on the go, who is active in the gym as well as the social scene.

U-part wigs are also a great option. They are great for the woman who has a head of healthy tresses. It is a must for my ladies who want a great u-part wig to understand the front of your hair should be strong, consistent from root-to-end, and closer to the medium-think texture. In order to achieve a natural blend, your hair must be healthy and at least cheek’s length. (Not your butt your face… lol! )

Custom wigs vs U-part wigs… surprisingly they have a few things in common. They both can be taken off every night or sewn down. Which is great for either one. However a u-part wig requires more maintenance on your natural hair. Your leave-out should be shampooed at least every two weeks, it can easily sweat out when working out therefore making it more tempting to put heat on whereas with the wig, no heat will ever need to be applied to your natural hair. Custom wigs also allow you to experiment more with color. A u-part wig can be quite limiting if you do not wish to color your own hair.

All in all, I always recommend a full wig because it’s the most protective and doesn’t require as much wear and tear on your natural hair. It’s more flexible and your options aren’t as limited. What’s your preference?
