More Than a Wig. A Craft, a Calling, a Piece of Me.

House of Maraki was built from passion, purpose, and the belief that luxury should always feel personal.

I’m Katherine, a licensed cosmetologist with 22 years of experience and a self-taught wigmaker who has spent years refining the art of custom wig construction. While cosmetology gave me my professional foundation, wigmaking became a craft I taught myself—one stitch, one technique, and one transformation at a time.

My journey into wigs began after seeing more and more clients experience hair loss without knowing where to turn. Then, a close friend living with alopecia suggested that I begin making wigs. That conversation planted a seed, and what began as a way to help women feel like themselves again grew into one of the greatest passions of my life.

Every House of Maraki wig is constructed on a sewing machine, with each weft meticulously stitched for strength, balance, comfort, and beautiful movement. From the foundation and fit to the color, cut, and finishing details, every element is handled with intention. These are not simply wigs—they are individually crafted pieces designed to look natural, feel luxurious, and become part of the woman wearing them.

The name House of Maraki was inspired by the Greek word meraki: to create with soul, creativity, and love—to leave a piece of yourself in everything you do. That meaning is woven into every unit I create.

Today, House of Maraki serves women from all walks of life—whether they are navigating alopecia or thinning, embracing a new look, protecting their natural hair, or simply choosing the ease and freedom of a beautifully made wig.

Because to me, a wig should never make a woman feel as though she is hiding. It should help her feel seen, confident, and completely herself.

Welcome to House of Maraki—where craftsmanship meets transformation, and every stitch has a purpose.
